Dashboard lights

AAA advises drivers to pay attention to dashboard warning lights. When you power on your automobile, the dashboard caution lights turn once every few seconds to greet you. However, if they persist, there is a substantial disadvantage that must be prohibited immediately.

"Motorists must be forced to remember the critical 'big three' warning lights," says John Nielsen, AAA Automotive's director.

He said they are the people who monitor the engine pressure and fluid temperature and then the vehicle's charging system.

These warning lights require immediate and right action once they activate to reduce the chances of an automobile accident and/or an edge breakdown."

The following are some suggestions from AAA about what to do if the lights come back on:

Engine oil pressure

This inconspicuous visual indication displays an oil will picture or the word "OIL." This indicates that the engine's supply of regulated grease has been depleted, and serious engine damage or catastrophic failure will occur within seconds.

If the pressure visual indication appears, pull over to the side of the road immediately, turn off the motor, and have your car towed to a repair shop. Don't decide to drive the car until you're in a truly perilous situation.

 Engine fluid temperature

The measurement system picture or the brand "TEMP" is displayed on this lightweight, unremarkable. When the fluid temperature light-weight glows, the engine temperature has surpassed the safe maximum.

The engine may experience faster wear until the rise in fluid temperature is rectified. If the temperature continues to rise, serious engine damage or failure may occur.

If the fluid temperature display indicator illuminates, do a fast assessment of the situation. Steam or liquid fluid flowing back from beneath the hood might indicate a problem with the heating system or a leak.

Pullover to the side of the road as soon as possible and ask for assistance. Because boiling fluid may cause serious burns, never open the hood while there is a lot of steam present, and never remove the cap when the engine is hot.

Charging system

This inconspicuous item shows an electric battery picture or the brand "ALT" or "GEN," indicating that the generator is no longer supplying power to the electrical system.

You can normally get a minimum of twenty minutes of daylight driving time before the voltage lowers to the point where the mechanism won't work, depending on the electrical needs of your car and therefore the reserve capacity of its batteries.

Close all supererogatory electrical attachments and drive to the nearest repair shop to have the car checked if the charging system visual indicator turns on.
