Rolls-Royce Ghost 2022

Ownership of a Rolls-Royce makes a strong statement. It implies that you are not just financially successful, but also do not compromise.

The 2022 Ghost sedan upholds that unwavering commitment to luxury while slipping in a few pleasant surprises. Its shared base with the Cullinan SUV and the brand's flagship Phantom sedan enables it to deliver an unmatched ride quality that is on par with the best the company has to offer.

The Ghost's cabin, which is furnished with only the best leathers, textiles, woods, and metals, serves as a luxurious respite from the rigors of prosperity and notoriety. A smooth and whisper-quiet V-12 engine delivers unlimited power.

What's New for 2022 - 2023?

For the 2022 model year, the Ghost will have a Black Badge variation that has darker exterior detailing, hand-polished and high-gloss paintwork, black wood interior trim, and a slightly more potent 592-hp version of the 6.7-liter V-12 engine, and other features.

Like all Rolls-Royce vehicles, the Black Badge may be completely customized, but due to its rarity, it has a substantially higher starting price than the ordinary model.

Even if it is the base model, the Ghost will still be beyond reach for the majority of new-car purchasers. Although Rolls-Royce provides a seemingly limitless range of extra amenities and modifications, the only determining factor is how much you're ready to spend. The list of standard and optional equipment is rather lengthy.

Performance - Engine, Transmission, and Other

The Ghost is powered by a 6.7-liter V-12 that also powers the Cullinan SUV, producing 563 horsepower; Black Badge vehicles have an additional 592 horsepower. Shifting is handled by an eight-speed automatic, and all-wheel drive is standard.

We're eager to test Rolls-claim Royce's that the Ghost can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 4.6 seconds at our test track.

In addition, Rolls-Royce claims that the new Ghost has a crisper driving behavior than the previous model, citing the all-wheel steering system and 50/50 weight distribution as proof that driving pleasure was a key consideration throughout the construction of the vehicle.

The Ghost's standard adaptive suspension, which makes use of a road-scanning camera to assist the car to anticipate and correct for potholes, offers a ride that is unmatched in the industry.

Fuel efficiency and actual MPG

The Ghost is expected to get 12 MPG in the city and 19 MPG on the highway, according to the EPA.

When we have an opportunity, we'll run our 75 mph highway fuel-economy test on the Ghost and report the findings here. Visit the EPA website for additional details regarding the Ghost's fuel efficiency.

Cargo, Comfort, and the Interior

The interior of the new Ghost is luxurious, much like the interior of any Rolls-Royce, with each surface, knob, switch, and lever made of high-quality materials.

Rolls-Royce has made every effort to differentiate itself from rivals like the Bentley Flying Spur and the Mercedes-Benz S-class.

Consider luxurious materials like plush carpet, beautifully grained leather, genuine wood and metal accents, and even a headliner that may be ordered with small embedded LEDs to mimic a starlit sky.

When the driver starts the Ghost, an illuminated dashboard inlay shines, enhancing the feeling of a starry night. Rear passengers enjoy amenities like massage seats, an entertainment system, and plenty of legrooms, making it the nicest seat in the house.

Connectivity and Information

The Ghost has a big infotainment display with in-dash navigation, in addition to offering a Wi-Fi hotspot. Although it hasn't been verified, we anticipate it will also include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay interfaces.

Passengers may change the radio, enter locations into the navigation system, and more using a dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system. Additionally, Rolls-Royce offers an 18-speaker Bespoke stereo system with 1300 watts of power and speaker cones made of magnesium ceramic.

Features for Driver Assistance and Safety

The Ghost comes with a variety of driver-assistance systems from Rolls-Royce as standard, including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping aid.

Visit the websites of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for additional details regarding the Ghost's crash-test results. Important safety elements include:

  • Pedestrian identification in automatic emergency braking standards.

  • Lane-keeping assistance and the standard lane-departure warning.

  • Conventional adaptive cruise control.

Maintenance and Warranties Coverage

The Ghost, like the rest of the Rolls-Royce series, includes a four-year warranty and maintenance plan that doesn't end after a certain number of miles.

  • Four years or unlimited miles are covered under the limited warranty.
  • Four years or unlimited miles are covered by the powertrain warranty.

  • Four years or unrestricted kilometers are covered by the complimentary maintenance.
